Count on one hand

Recently I realized I had four $25 gift cards to Barnes and Noble. Undoubtedly they were from Christmas and birthdays, so I got to spending. 4 CD's, 4 books. Forget the music for now, here are the 4 I bought (plus one that sis got me for Christmas) that I'm going to read in 2011. I've got no review here, other than to say, I will, have a review, in the future.

Mr. Peanut - Adam Ross: I'm currently reading this book, it's been really good so far. Sadly, the only time I'm reading right now is when I go to bed, which of course, is after midnight. Makes for a tired body the next day.

Freedom - Jonathan Franzen: Someone in Esquire wrote about this book, so of course, I just HAD to get it.

The Passage - Justin Cronin: It was on the high end of books bought in 2010 via B&N NOT regarding Twilight, Wimpy Kid diaries, political topics, Percy Jackson or Harry Potter.

A Reliable Wife - Robert Goolrick: I thought this was a self-help book on how to find a mate. After reading the overview upon arrival, I was wrong.

Fall of Giants - Ken Follett: I read Pillars of the Earth and decided to give him another go. While I thumbed through the final 50 pages of Pillars, it was a great read so I'm going to see if it was medieval architecture that caused me to jump to the end or if it was just his writing style. Or there's a third opinion...impatience.

I'll give you a review of the first book, which I'm almost done with, here on the blog. Anything you're reading out there?

I've been reading The Glass Castle for forever. It was the book club book like 4 months ago and Beth said it was good so I should actually finish it. Honestly, I get through about 3 pages per sitting...

I bought The Reliable Wife last year and haven't read it yet. Let me know when you get ready to start it!! Virtual book club. :)

I'm getting ready to start "Blonde" which is a loosely based fiction based on Marilyn Monroe's life. It's supposed to be very good, but the 784 pages is scaring me.

I'm reading non-fun books and journal articles that will aid in my thesis research (and your sleep). Let me know if you would like to borrow any. However, on my night stand are temptations such as....Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea and Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird....to inspire my writing. My current fave is your blog JV.
